University Park, PA (WJAC) — A former Penn State administrator is planning to take legal action against the university. Emme Devonish was named as the university’s ethics officer in September of 2020. She recently left Penn State and has now filed notice of a pending discrimination civil suit in Centre County court. Specifically, Devonish is claiming violations of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — The Johnstown Mill Rats’ future in the Prospect League is uncertain after the league’s website removed the baseball team from display. Johnstown joined the Prospect League as an expansion team and played their first game in May of 2021. (WZTV) — As the search for missing University of Missouri student Riley Strain continues, Nashville's Office of Emergency Management used a dive team Saturday for the first time in their water searches for any trace of the 22-year-old. Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — DuBois city council met Monday night for the first time since new charges were filed against suspended city manager Herm Suplizio last week. 6 News attended the meeting and spoke with some of the candidates running for council about their plans to right what they say are the wrongs of those that came before them. UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WJAC) — Right-Wing political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos was invited to Penn State’s University Park Campus by student organization Uncensored America. The announcement sparked outcry and prompted comments from the institution. According to the event's webpage, Yiannopoulos "will talk about free speech, faith, conversion therapy, hairstyle, and more." The event's tagline is "Pray the Gay Away." The University says it does not condone what Yiannopoulos has to say, but that he has the unquestioned right to say it.

WASHINGTON (TND) — The mother of a 7-year-old girl was arrested and is facing charges after her daughter's body was found decaying in a vacant apartment closet. Alondra Hobbs, 27, was charged with felony murder and cruelty in the second degree, DeKalb County Police Department said. The department's spokesperson told The Associated Press that Hobbs was at a hospital. According to a police report, the body of Alivia Hobbs-Jordan was discovered by officers at the Hidden Valley Apartment Complex outside of Atlanta on June 25 after a neighbor reported the dead child in the empty apartment.
