SOMERSET - The State Correctional Institution at Somerset is on lockdown following several fights among inmates druing the past week. According to SCI-Somerset officials, the facility was placed on lockdown Sunday afternoon after inmates were involved in a series of fights and in some instances "improvised" weapons were used. Officials said three inmates were stabbed, but their injuries were treated at the facility. No staff members were injured nor assaulted in any of the instances.
ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — Altoona police say they've arrested and charged two people in connection to an October arson investigation that later led to attempted homicide charges. Police say 26-year-old Daniel Sipes Jr. and 30-year-old Maria Frye set fire to a home along 5th Ave. on Oct. 15. They say the pair is in an intimate relationship and set the fire to kill one of the people inside. According to police, the attempt was made to end an ongoing dispute regarding a past relationship, infidelity and drug use.

DJ Casper, whose real name is Willie Perry Jr., died after a battle with cancer, his wife told ABC7. In May, he told ABC7 in Chicago he had been diagnosed with kidney and liver cancer in 2016. Authorities continue searching for a woman who went missing while she was on a cruise to the Caribbean with her family nearly three decades ago. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said Amy Lynn Bradley, of Petersburg, Virginia, was last seen on March 24, 1998.
