Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — A fire at the Blair Senior Services’ storage facility damaged multiple vehicles over the weekend, but it has not stopped the company’s daily transportation services.
Investigators say the fire broke out early Sunday morning in the back of the transportation center where twelve vehicles were parked.
The president of Blair Senior Services, Steve Williamson, says the fire damaged ten vans and totaled six of them.

BOGGS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — One person was pronounced dead after a car crash in Clearfield County.
State police identified the victim as 25-year-old Matthew McGarry of Oceola Mills.
Officials said the crash happened on Drane Highway in Boggs Township on Friday.
According to police, McGarry was driving at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a sharp curve near Eagle Eye Road.
While emergency responders were on scene, the highway was closed between Eagle Eye Road and Erie Pike.

ALTOONA – Lakemont Park will be closed for renovations this summer, but will reopen on Friday, Nov. 17, for the 21st annual Holiday Lights On The Lake, officials said Tuesday.
Changes planned for Lakemont Park include replacing some of the older amusement rides with a new miniature golf course, batting cages, playgrounds, basketball and sand volleyball courts and expanded picnic areas, while keeping and enhancing attractions such as the waterpark, paddle boats, train, roller coasters, antique cars and go-karts.

The American Legion County fair is held every year here in Ebensburg. Vendors say this year the fair is different from before. They say the 2022 season had a lot of rain. Now sun with above average temperatures.
Administrators say what makes this year’s event more special is that this is the first time it hasn't rained heavily at the fair since before the pandemic.
